How do I confirm my seat at The Vegan School?

Accepted Answer

To secure your spot in our vegan culinary school, we require a deposit of ₹80,000 / $1,000. The remaining balance must be paid at least two weeks before your batch begins. Once payment is received, your enrolment is confirmed and your seat is reserved.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Accepted Answer

It takes a lot of effort to find a replacement at the last moment. Please let us know any change of plan at the earliest.

Cancellation Policy: 
1.     We refund 100% of the amount 30 days before the start of the course. 
2.     Cancellations made within 30 days of the start date are not eligible for a refund.
3.     In case of a genuine emergency, we’re happy to move you to a future batch, subject to availability. Just reach out to us as early as you can.

Note: For International students, the amount refunded will be what we receive in INR in our accounts minus any conversion charges in sending back the money. Expect a 5-7% deduction. All expenses will be shared transparently.

Is it mandatory to stay in the school's accommodation?

No, staying in our accommodation is not mandatory during your plant-based cooking course. You are welcome to arrange your own stay in Goa. However, as our accommodation has limited availability, we recommend booking early to secure your spot.

Yes, completely. Everything here is vegetarian — no meat, no fish, no eggs, anywhere in the kitchen. If you're searching for a vegetarian culinary school or a vegetarian cooking course, our curriculum covers everything a traditional vegetarian programme would — knife skills, world cuisines, baking, fermentation, and technique. We also cook without dairy, and that's what makes you better. When you can't reach for cream, you learn what actually creates richness. Most vegetarian cooks never learn that.A number of our students arrive vegetarian rather than fully vegan. Some stay vegetarian after graduating. Others transition to vegan. Either way, the technical foundation carries over — you graduate with skills that work in every vegetarian kitchen and every vegan one. Does The Vegan School help with internships after the course?

Yes, we help every graduate secure an internship as part of their vegan culinary career. We often receive more internship offers than we have students. While we present all available opportunities to you, the final decision rests between you and the establishment.

Will the internship be paid and how long will it last?

This varies by establishment and is confirmed directly between you and the employer. Duration and compensation differ — our role is to make the introduction and support your transition into the plant-based food industry.

What certification will I earn after completing the course?

Every graduate receives a Certificate of Completion from The Vegan School, documenting their training and work completed during the course. This credential is a recognised proof of your plant-based cooking training.

Do you offer scholarships for international students?

Yes, we offer a $500 scholarship to international students under 25 who are currently studying or unemployed. We believe access to quality vegan culinary education should not be limited by financial barriers.Just ask. We will need your ID card for verification.

Our students include aspiring vegan chefs pursuing a culinary career, home cooks, nutritionists, food entrepreneurs, and people exploring plant-based cooking as a hobby or lifestyle change. No prior experience needed — just curiosity, motivation, and a love for food.

Is the course conducted in English?

Yes, all instruction is in English. That said, if you ever find something difficult to follow, our faculty also speaks Hindi and is happy to explain it to you in Hindi. But, a basic understanding of English is needed.

What is the batch size, and why does it matter?

Every batch is capped at 14 students. This is intentional. A small group means more hands-on cooking, personal attention from your instructor, and a genuinely immersive plant-based culinary experience.

Which visa do international students need?

Accepted Answer

For most countries, a tourist e-Visa works just fine — it's simple, done entirely online, and usually comes through in 3–4 days. If your country doesn't have the e-Visa facility, you'll need to visit your nearest Indian consulate. Any document required will be provided by the school
